Bubbe & Zayde’s Place cares for the body and the soul. With 24 hour awake staff in each home, all of the resident’s healthcare needs are immediately addressed.
Unlike other larger care facilities residents maintain their own independence. With only six residents per house your loved one can keep their own schedule, habits, and routine – all while receiving the individual attention and support they require.
With five homes all connected through the backyards there is ample outdoor space for residents to walk, lounge, garden and pick fruit. And because all five homes are connected Bubbe & Zayde’s Place offers a unique environment which has the intimacy of small home living combined with the socialization of a larger community.
While Bubbe & Zayde’s Place is a non-medical facility, we offer in-home medical services including: podiatry, mobile x-ray and laboratory, medication supervision, as well as regular doctor visits. We have both hospice and dementia waivers. This means that patients with dementia are never turned away and residents are able to age in place and stay for the remainder of their lives.
Bubbe & Zayde’s Place remains active in the community. Resident trips are frequently planned to community centers, fairs and local restaurants. We also have volunteers who participate on a weekly basis by interacting and engaging in activities with the residents.
We strive to make life at Bubbe & Zayde’s Place no different than life was before living here.
Who We Are
In the summer of 1998 Bonnie Curkin officially opened Bubbe and Zayde’s Place to serve the the community with the physical, social and emotional needs of seniors. With the help of many people Bubbe and Zayde’s Place began to grow and our excellent reputation for a high standard of care became known throughout the community and her dream was realized.
After many years as an administrator for large assisted living facilities Shimon Cagan joined Bubbe and Zayde’s Place because of his passion for serving the needs of seniors. Working in a smaller atmosphere allows him to accomplish his goal of providing a higher quality of care and meeting the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our residents.
Administrator/Owner
After 14 years of working for The Legal Aid Society in New York City, Seth Curkin came to Bubbe and Zayde’s Place because of his strong desire to work with his family. Working with the elderly has allowed him to continue with his passion of serving people in need.
